Service Description

Join us for this exciting course as we take to the sea to learn about the basics of downwind paddling. To effectively paddle down wind you will need a good understanding of the winds and impact on the water. We will cover all of this and equip you with the skills needed to begin utilising the wind to glide on open water swells. This course is for paddlers competent with basic open water paddling and wanting to improve their skills. What We Do - We will meet at the designated location around 1030am. There will be a 45 minute presentation and talk about forecasting and technique. following this we will get on the water and put into practice what we discussed. We will look at the impact of the wind and swell on choosing our route. We will paddle a short distance up wind and then travel down wind. What You Need - Wetsuit (can be provided for additional £5), board Longer the better (can be provided, please notify in advance if needed), paddle, Leash, Wetsuit boots, change of clothes etc. Ability and fitness requirements - This course is for people who are confident on flat open water but are perhaps looking to improve their skills in rougher conditions with a focus on paddling down wind. Location - To be confirmed prior to the course but will be in Kent. Will be based on conditions.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel a booking up to one day prior to the booking. There is a non refundable deposit of £10 per person per booking. This can be transferred to another booking if you reschedule a lesson with us. This will be at management discretion.
