Everything You Need to Know
Where are you based?
We are based in Rainham, Kent, but deliver our lessons throughout Kent and Sussex. We are currently building our available venues. The majority of our lessons are held at Leybourne Lakes.
We are continuously working to bring lessons to more locations; in the meantime we can, where possible, come to your nearest paddle-able water way (lake, river, canal etc). Please do contact us for more information about this.
Which boards do you use?
We are currently working in partnership with McConks to provide our equipment. We chose McConks due to the quality of their boards and value for money.
Do I need to be at a certain fitness level to train with Daddyboards?
No, we offer lessons to those of all fitness levels. We will ensure that all lessons are fully inclusive regardless of your ability, fitness or other limitations. We are dedicated to creating a fully inclusive environment and are working on a range of lessons for people with disabilities, as well as therapeutic family sessions.
Do I need to be able to swim?
It is not a requirement as we will provide participants with all the relevant safety equipment to ensure they can enjoy the activity as safely as possible regardless of swimming proficiency. However, some level of swim ability may make you feel more confident due to the risk of falling in the water. We have proven strategies to support those who are unable to swim or who have a phobia of the water. We will also run through all safety information and advice prior to any lessons with us.
What happens if I am unable to attend a lesson?
Please inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend any session. There is a non-refundable deposit of £10 per person per lesson. However if you reschedule a lesson with us we will transfer this deposit to the new booking.
Will the lessons run in adverse weather?
A decision on the suitability of running lessons will be made as early as possible and the safety of participants will be paramount in this decision making. We will be in touch with participants if adverse weather that may impact the lesson is forecast. However, we love paddleboarding come rain or shine!
How do you recommend I keep my Balance board in best condition?
The balance trainers are coated for a long life but are made of natural materials. It is not recommended they be exposed to the weather for extended periods and should be kept dry. They should be stored in a dry place out of direct sunlight.
You can keep them looking fresher by occasionally polishing them with a small amount of furniture polish. the grip can be cleaned with a soft brush and soapy water and dried striaght after.
Do you ship outside of the UK
Yes, we are able to ship outside of the UK. You can choose this option at checkout.
