Intro to SUP - Leybourne

Service Description

Group lessons are the easiest (and most cost effective) way to learn to paddleboard and a great way to meet other people. If you want to work on a specific skill or have a more personalised package, check out our 1-1 lessons. All safety equipment is provided. All our group lessons except have a minimum age of 8 years old. What we do – The Intro to SUP lesson will cover all safety aspects of paddle boarding and use of the inland waterway. We will teach you about the equipment, including the board, paddle and all safety equipment. We will cover how to use these effectively and safely. By the end of your lesson, you will be able to exit and enter the water safely and know how to get back on the board safely from the water - Self Rescue. You will understand the hazards associated with the sport and lake paddling. The aim of the lesson is to get you standing up and having full control of the board, but most importantly having fun! Lessons Last approximately one and a half hours. What you need – Please arrive in plenty of time to prepare for the lesson. Lessons start at the time stated so participants should arrive around 30 minutes early. This is a water-based activity and you are likely to get wet please come dressed in suitable clothing – Swim wear or quick drying clothes and a towel and clean clothes for after. Wetsuits can be provided if required please advise in advance of your session. Leave all personal belongings on land – do not enter the water with anything that is not okay to get wet or attached to your person. Ability and fitness requirements – All participants must be able to swim 50 metres. This is an intro lesson so no prior experience necessary. Venue – Leybourne Lakes Water Sports centre Site Specific info – Please enter the country park by the main entrance. Turn left as you enter the main tarmac carpark following signs for Water sports Carpark. Park in the gravel carpark and visit the centre for a free parking ticket. Centre can be found over the wooden bridge at the beginning of the carpark. Cancellation Policy

You can cancel a booking up to 24 hours prior to the booking. There is a non refundable deposit of £10 per person per booking. This can be transferred to another booking if you reschedule a lesson with us. This will be at management discretion. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. No-shows will be charged the full price.
